2017 Mercedes-AMG GT R Unveiled
The 2017 Mercedes-AMG GT R increases efficiency with help from larger turbos that allow the 4.0L V8 engine to produce statistics that are comparable with the 2015 SLS AMG that is equipped with a much larger 6.2L V8. Extensive use of carbon fiber body panels to include the roof, rocker panels, and a full length belly pan help to reduce weight over the AMG GT S. The AMG GT R is also almost 2 inches wider allowing for a much more aggressive set of tires.
