If you don't know this already, Jeff Zwart is the man. He's a film director, author, and photographer. Oh, and he also happens to be a race car driver who has driven Formula Fords and in the New Zealand round of the World Rally Championship. In particular, Zwart seems to have an affinity for the Pikes Peak Hill Climb.
Today, GoPro released a video of the hill climb (in 4K, too) that has generous in-car and external shots. Plus lots of flat-six and turbo-whooshing aural goodness as goes to beat his own personal best time by 15 seconds and join the nine-minute club at Pikes Peak, a club that had just 12 members before this year's race.
Zwart is 60 years old, but clearly age hasn't stopped him from doing the things he loves. You can see how fast Zwart's hands are on the wheel and the shifter. You can see how butt-clenchingly close to the edge of the road he's driving. It's a mad and relentless sprint of a five-minute video. You'll want to catch your breath when you're done with it.
