(September 23, 2008) - For a select group of automotive enthusiasts from Kansas, California, Wyoming and Florida, World Class Driving’s inaugural Viva Italia experience was a weekend which will not soon be forgotten. The authoritative company in on-road exotic driving experiences compiled a surreal collection of Ferrari automobiles and took to the roads: driving from the picturesque shores of Monaco to headquarters of the renowned stallion manufacturer in Maranello. Along the way, drivers commanded four of Ferrari’s most celebrated vehicles: 599 GTB Fiorano, 612 Scaglietti and F430 Scuderia, through some of the most scenic roads and breathtaking views in the world.
"The Viva Italia tour is a revival of the program we launched 18 years ago in Europe. It is about experiencing the very best of Italy: from driving the very rarest and new Ferraris, to tasting regional Italian cuisine to exclusive tours of the Ferrari Factory, Viva Italia in collaboration with Dream It provided our guests the very highest pinnacle of fine Italian culture", comments World Class Driving Co-Founder Jean Paul Libert. "We wanted to offer a specialized program like nothing else. Continuing in this tradition, each subsequent Viva Italia tour will be unique and offer something new. We want to make every trip a truly unforgettable and bespoke experience for every participant. We are anxiously awaiting the next Viva Italia Tour which will take place in April 2009"
A luxurious, all-encompassing experience, Viva Italia not only pleasantly pitched guests through some of the world’s most pictorial highways, but also offered participants an exclusive tour of the Ferrari Factory in Maranello and entry into the famed Ferrari Museum, which rounded out this truly distinctive experience. After an enjoyable day of driving a fine collection of some of the most respected supercars in the world, Viva l’Italia participants were welcomed into the sanctuary that is the Real Fini Hotel in Modena. As part of this comprehensive event, World Class Driving provided plush accommodations at this esteemed hotel, which gave guests a chance to relax and dine on some of the world''s finest cuisine as they recounted their own unique Viva Italia experience.
The 700-mile round trip route from the breathtaking Principality of Monaco, site of the famed Monaco Grand Prix, to the Ferrari Factory and headquarters in Maranello, Italy, commenced with a drive up the sweeping coastline offering spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea. Drivers rotated between the four stunning Ferrari models, each commanding considerable time behind the wheel of these magnificent machines. As an all-inclusive experience, World Class Driving offered the rare opportunity of driving over 2000 horsepower of Ferrari force with truly unique, one-of-a-kind tours of the Ferrari Factory and Ferrari Museum.
As part of Viva l’Italia, guests toured the renowned Ferrari Factory in Maranello for a behind the scenes look at the careful construction and engineering of the world’s most venerable Italian automobile. This activity, generally reserved only for Ferrari owners, provided a behind the scenes look at the rich history following the iconic racing heritage of the marque and how Enzo built and others maintained Ferrari as the most successful of all exotic automobile manufacturers. An additional visit to the neighboring Ferrari Museum presented Viva l’Italia participants with an exceptional history of the Ferrari brand from its inception in 1929 all the way up to highlighting the most modern racing models available today.
"This was the greatest birthday gift ever: great, riche and very well put together", comments Viva Italia participants John and Nada from Boca Raton, Florida. "JP, you are the greatest host ever, very sensitive to people’s needs and adding some special touches. Keep us posted for future events."
Additionally, Viva Italia enthusiasts John and Sue of Wyoming state "This experience was an exquisite way to enjoy our first trip to Italy and the French Riviera. World Class Driving became with the cars a link to culture and lifestyle of two nations."
At the close of this remarkable three day experience, each attendee of Viva l’Italia was well versed in all things Ferrari. With the exclusive, behind the scenes tours and the ability to command the finest new Ferraris in the world today, guests were given a beautiful look into the world of Ferrari. Schumacher would be proud.
