Las Vegas is a city that constantly hosts new events and attractions each and every year. As 2016 gets underway, we’re starting to see a few of the most exciting new things that the year has in store for “Sin City.” Here are a few of the exciting attractions about to hit Las Vegas this year courtesy of www.whatsonlv.com.
“Since Las Vegas is a city of the world, it is only natural that it is hosting the Las Vegas International Latino Film Festival May 27-29. The festival will focus on the best Latino content to showcase and support existing and emerging creative Latino and International filmmakers across the world. This multicultural event will recognize all film categories and welcome guests, including Kate del Castillo, Jose Yenque, Lou Pizarro, Pepe Serna, Stephanie Gerard, David Hernandez, Patty Orozco and Don Pedro Rivera.
And because Las Vegas is Las Vegas, the biggest and most lavish driving range in the world is set to open at the MGM Grand in early spring. TopGolf will have 102 hitting bays among the first three levels, with the fourth level offering an unobstructed view of the Strip with private VIP hitting bays, private cabanas and swimming pools. The $50-million entertainment center will have competitive golfing games for all ages and skill levels and advanced technology to track the accuracy and distance of players’ shots. The building’s plans also include a stage for live musical performances and 3,000 square feet of private meeting space for up to 2,000 people.
And now for the real fun. SPEEDVEGAS, a $30-million motorsports complex, featuring a 1.5-mile supercar track inspired by Formula One racetracks, is getting ready to open on Las Vegas Boulevard just south of the M Resort. The track will have elevation changes, sweeping turns and a half-mile straightaway that compares to the top circuits in the world. There will be indoor and outdoor observation decks and the opportunity to drive such exotic supercars as Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Corvettes and Ford Shelby Mustangs.”
