When Vin Diesel and the late Paul Walker hit the big screen in The Fast and the Furious (2001), audiences were immediately drawn to the action-packed story of Dominic Toretto and Brian O’Conner. While the story of their unlikely friendship took center stage, the real stars of the film were the wide array of crazy cars seen on film.

Everything from American muscle cars to Japanese import favorites has graced the screen over the course of the now 15-year-old series. With so many eye-catching rides flying through the frame, it can be hard to pick out a few favorites, but we did our best at finding the most iconic exotic cars of the franchise.

Dodge Charger

The Dodge Charger has been an iconic car in the world of film since its appearance in the 1971 classic, Vanishing Point. In the Fast and Furious franchise, the Dodge Charger has become a signature car for Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto. With appearances in nearly all of the Fast and Furious films, this American muscle car is definitely as big a star of the franchise as any of the actors.

McLaren 12

From a classic car of the film series to a newer addition to the franchise, the McLaren 12C made its first appearance in the most recent film, Furious 7 (2015). While this McLaren doesn’t carry the same history as the Dodge Charger, it does own the distinction of being one of the fastest cars ever seen in the films.

Toyota Supra

The sight of a classic Toyota Supra is enough to get any Japanese car enthusiasts’ hearts racing. This classic Japanese sports car has been out of production since 2002, but fans can turn on the Fast and Furious films and enjoy what is quite possibly the finest car Toyota has ever produced.

Nissan Skyline

If the Dodge Charger is the signature car of Vin Diesel’s than the legendary king of Japanese automobiles is the late Paul Walker’s. A favorite of both the character and the actor that plays him, the Nissan Skyline has been a longstanding mainstay of the franchise since its appearance in the second feature film.

With the eighth film in the series already in the works, this Fast and Furious franchise isn’t showing any signs of slowing down anytime soon. Which car from the Fast and Furious series was your favorite?
