When most people hear the name, Jay Leno, they immediately remember his legendary run as host of The Tonight Show. While he has definitely earned his rightful place in the Television Hall of Fame based on his work on late-night television, what we’re more concerned with is what he’s keeping in his garage. Since his retirement from The Tonight Show, Leno’s has managed to stay in the public eye with his critically acclaimed web series, Jay Leno’s Garage.
Jay Leno’s vehicle collection is well documented and consists of nearly 300 cars and motorcycles. His collection spans the decades and has everything from classic pieces of automotive history to true speed demons that would be right at home at a Las Vegas race track like SPEEDVEGAS. Here’s a quick rundown of the best cars in Leno’s collection that have us drooling over the chance to take a tour of his garage.
2014 McLaren P1: The first hybrid supercar, the McLaren P1 is the successor to the wildly popular McLaren F1 and Leno’s is one of only 375 units produced by the British manufacturers. With a top speed of 247 miles per hour, the McLaren P1 is one of the fastest production cars in the world.
The Ariel Atom: One of the more exotic looking cars in Leno’s collection, the Atom was measured to be one of the fastest accelerating cars in the world in 2005. The only cars that registered a faster 0-60 mph time were the Bugatti Veyron and the Ultima GTR.
1986 Lamborghini Countach: One of the crown jewels of Leno’s collection, his 1986 Lamborghini Countach was once the daily driver of choice for the late-night talk show legend. Much like the owner himself, the Countach was revolutionary for exotic cars and its impact on design can still be seen in vehicles today.
While Jay’s got a great selection of cars in his garage, our lineup at SPEEDVEGAS isn’t too shabby either. For a closer look at our collection, be sure to come by when our Las Vegas race track opens next Spring.
