EXOTIC CARS

If you do a quick search online to find the best supercars available, you might have a hard time singling out just one.

That's because what makes a car a good supercar depends on quite a few factors, such as speed, acceleration, and control.

Luckily, we've compiled a list of the seven best racing cars so even those new to supercars will know which ones to look out for.

1. Koenigsegg Jesko

The word "car" doesn't even do the Koenigsegg Jesko justice. No, a more appropriate term for the Jesko is "megacar."

Christian Koenigsegg named the Jesko after his father, who was a "key presence" at Koenigsegg Auto during the company's formative years.

This megacar features a 5-liter twin-turbo V8 engine and a 9-speed, multi-clutch transmission.

2. Mercedes-AMG GT R

While it's not quite a "megacar," the sleek Mercedes-AMG GT R is both comfortable and quick.

This beautiful car has a 4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine boasting 577 horsepower under the hood, allowing it to accelerate to 60 MpH in 3.5 seconds.

3. McLaren 720S

The McLaren 720S is the successor to the 650S. It also sports a 4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine but accelerates faster than the Mercedes.

If coupes aren't for you, McLaren released the 720S Spider, which is a convertible version of the car. The open-top reportedly performs just as well as the original; the only sacrifice is a tweak in the car's dihedral door system.

4. Tushek Renovatio T500

This car made its debut in 2012, making it "an oldie but a goodie." Despite its age, the Renovatio's specs are right on par with the others.

It sports a 4.2-liter V8 engine that delivers 450 horsepower. It can accelerate to 60 MpH just slightly slower than the Mercedes, in 3.7 seconds.

Its speed tops out at 192 MpH, but good luck making it there without a track.

5. Bugatti Veyron Super Sport

The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport is easily one of the most impressive and elusive cars on this list.

Back in 2010, the Super Sport set a Guinness World Record for the fastest production sports car. And, according to Bugatti, no car has been able to beat it since.

This beast of a car goes for a whopping $2 million. Click here for other cars in that extravagant price range.

6. Dodge Challenger SRT Demon

The SRT Demon, which debuted in 2017, is a more powerful version of the original Challenger.

This car sports specially made tires, making it the first production car to include a set of drag radial road tires.

The Demon may be a bit hard to find as it went out of production after 2018, but its $84k price tag is small when compared to some of the other best race cars.

7. Chevrolet Corvette ZR1

The Chevrolet Corvette is an undeniable classic... but the ZR1 is nothing short of a supercar.

With 755 available horsepower and a top track speed of 212 MpH, those at Chevy are calling it "the King."

Because the ZR1 is new and in production, it is actually one of the more accessible vehicles on the list!

Keep Your Eyes Peeled for the Best Racing Cars
