Under the long hood of the newest Ford’s fighter lies a 5.2-liter, supercharged V8 with 760 hp and 625 lb-ft. The so-called “Predator” engine is a hand-built, all-aluminum monster that can launch this muscle car royalty to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds and push it all the way to 180 mph. In order to keep things under control, Ford decided to offer only 7-speed dual-clutch transmission as the only option, providing the GT500 drivers with the unique sensation of driving the muscle car that shifts like an exotic machine.
