If you look at the basic construction of AMG GTR, you will see that it has all the right ingredients to be one of the best sports cars on the market. First, it has a front-mid-mounted 4.0-liter, bi-turbo V8 engine with 577 hp, which are sent to a transaxle automatic gearbox located near the rear axle for best weight balance. The sexy lines of the body complement the front and rear spoiler designed to help the car’s stability while it is achieving its top speed of 198 mph.

But, the GTR is not only a fast Benz; it is also an extremely capable track tool designed to deliver the utmost excitement to the driver. The 577 hp can launch it to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds, and its revised suspension, special coil springs, adjustable aerodynamic aids, and special Mercedes Traction Control system make it a semi-racing machine you can drive on the street. The sublime handling and grip result from the development process that took place on the famous Nürburgring circuit.
