My girlfriend (at the time) and I planned to come to Vegas last August and after we had picked our hotel she mentioned to me that she found a place to drive exotic cars. I took a look at the web site and was instantly hooked. Did more research and in a couple days I had decided to spend my tax return on this experience. Finally in February my tax return came and I ordered 11 laps in the Porsche Cayman R. I ordered 11 laps because over the phone I found out that I would get an extra lap at no cost because I was in the military. Now we were just a few weeks away from getting to Vegas, I was excited. We got to Vegas on a Monday, we were getting married on Tuesday and I was not racing until that Thursday. There were plenty of dates and times to pick from that week. Wednesday morning I called to schedule our shuttle ride from our hotel to the speedway. Again, everyone on the phone was professional and the shuttle scheduling was super easy. Wednesday morning came and we went to our scheduled shuttle pick up location. As we sat and waited for a shuttle bus, a stretch limo pulled up from the same company and it had a sign for Vegas Supercars in the window. I was like "cool someone ordered the limo service" then the driver got out and called my name. They had given the shuttle driver the day off and they picked us up in the limo, at no extra charge. Not even there yet and the experience was awesome. After we got to the track, it got better. We got checked in and they had bumped me up to the 10:30am class although I was scheduled for the 11:30 am class because my car was available. Shortly after check-in, we were taken to the introduction/ driving brief. My newly acquired wife and all the other guests were welcomed into the brief. The briefing instructors were very friendly and professional. After the brief, we were all sat down on bleachers and waited to be called by name to take our discovery laps. The discovery laps were amazing and even my wife was like "wow!" We got back to main building/waiting area and I was quickly given a racing helmet and waited not even 5 mins for my driver to call my name. I was driving with Kenny and he was absolutely amazing. He had asked me if i had any track experience and I said no because I never had raced on a track. He didn't even flinch. We got in the car and headed to the track, which we learned was just renovated and looked amazing. As soon as i got on track, Kenny let me get on the gas and let her rip. The first few laps Kenny gave me instructions on where to brake, where to turn in to the turn and where to hit the gas. All of this was covered in the class room but he was giving me the specifics for the Porsche. After that, he pretty much let me drive/race this amazing car until we had to pull in after 6 laps to cool the brakes off, then it was back to the track to push the car to it's limits. I got to pass cars and Kenny pushed me not to let the faster cars pass me. Before I knew it I was hitting all my apexes and corning like a champion. Then my 12 laps were up and even Kenny wanted to do more. After my driving experience, we got to walk around the garage area and take pictures and sit in all the cars. To sum it all up, the whole experience at Vegas Supercars from, booking the event til the moment we got dropped back off at our hotel was worth every cent. If you come to Vegas and want something to do, do this. You don't have to be a car nut to enjoy it. My wife was totally surprised at how much fun she had just watching all the cars drive by and all the grown men giggle and clap their hands like kid in a candy shop. Don't let the prices scare you away, for the price you will not get a better experience anywhere, I guarantee it!
